THE FOOD DRIVE
April 16 to 20, 2012
We have yet again concluded another successful Food Drive! For many years, Adams Chiropractic has held our Food Drive as a way of contributing to our community. For the week of April 16 - 20, 2012, our doctors donated their time and professional services as a contribution to the community of Sonoma Valley.
We would like to give a great big thanks to all of you who donated food items just for the sake of giving to those in our community who have less. Some of you were neighbors who saw our display and wanted to give, even though you weren't getting chiropractic treatment in exchange.
In addition, many of our long-time established patients made this event possible by showing great generosity with their donations of food supplies in exchange for one day's chiropractic services. Also, many who are just starting chiropractic care at Adams Chiropractic exchanged food items for chiropractic care. On the Tuesday after the Drive, all of the food collected was donated to F.I.S.H. (Friends In Sonoma Helping).
You can only imagine how all of the people in our community who received your donated food felt, knowing that someone cared enough to help them, in large part due to your generosity. Just how much food was received? Check out this picture of all of the foodstuffs in the lobby of our office before they were distributed!

Many thanks to all of you who played a part in making our annual Food Drive possible.
Please be sure to check back on this page next year for details about Food Drive for next April!
The Food Drive is just one of the ways in which we partner with the public to contribute to our community. For the week of the Drive, our doctors donate their time and professional services so as to allow people to donate newly purchased non-perishable food items and exchange them for one day's chiropractic services. And, during the Drive, our office becomes a drop-off point for food supplies to be distributed to underprivileged families.
Any who would like to participate in the Food Drive may bring in newly purchased non-perishable food items to the offices of Adams Chiropractic Offices, located at 101 Andrieux St in Sonoma. At the end of the Drive, all food items collected will be donated to F.I.S.H. (Friends In Sonoma Helping), for distribution to local underprivileged families. Adams Chiropractic Offices would like to thank in advance all those who wish to contribute, as well as all who participated in our Food Drives in past years.
Also, for those of you in the community who are patients at Adams Chiropractic -- or for anyone who wishes to begin chiropractic care -- you can take advantage of a great offer! You can exchange newly purchased non-perishable food items for chiropractic services! To speak with someone about the Drive, or to book an appointment for the week of the Drive, please call our office at (707) 996-4535.
On Tuesday, April 17, 2012, all Established Patients (patients currently seeking treatment in our office) can receive a chiropractic adjustment in exchange for 10 or more new non-perishable food items.
For the week of April 16 to 20, 2012, all New Patients (patients who have not sought treatment in our office before, or not for the past year) will be able to receive a consultation, thorough orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examinations and any necessary x-rays, any treatment performed, as well as a report of our findings, in exchange for 15 or more new non-perishable food items.
Some suggestions for food items are: fruits, vegetables, sauces and soups in cans or jars; cereals, pasta, etc. in boxes; juice, tea or water in bottles; chips, pretzels and other snacks in bags. Please note that our office does not have the facilities to store frozen or refrigerated food.
For health safety reasons -- as well as for promoting good spirit -- please donate only newly purchased non-perishable food items. Please donate only items which will be usable by someone else, with an expiration date that is three to four months away. Please also attempt to make the value of food items donated the equivalent of services received.
The suggested number of items is in order to make the value of food items donated the equivalent of services received. (A chiropractic adjustment is normally $49; a no-insurance new patient start-up package is normally around $196). This offer cannot be extended to patients with Personal Injury or Workers' Compensation cases, although they may still donate food items. The value of donated services may not be used to decrease an existing balance. For more information, please ask a Staff Member at Adams Chiropractic Offices.
